Michele's Road

Here's an additional image sent to me by Michele, who took #2 and edited it to show what she would do. She says:

"My goal was to have the viewer be led into the picture at the start of the road (lower left). And then travel through the picture following the road all the way to the top left. Finally, the viewer would come back down to the beginning of the road. I’m not sure about the large bush on the bottom right (I don’t want the viewer to be distracted by it), but something was needed as there was a large empty space."

Good job, don't you think? I particularly like the opening in the tree line that allows you to travel farther back into the frame.

I'd love to see anyone else's tweaks, too! Feel free to noodle around with the pix and see what works and why...

Thanks so much, Michele!!

OOOO! Yes, moving the road over a bit really does feel better. Also, the break in the trees gives sort of a "purpose" for the road beyond and helps flatten the road's effect on that plane beyond.
Thanks, Michele!

Elsie, Thanks - I'm glad you like my rendition. It was fun to do - and very challenging as I hardly know the program GIMP.

Deb, Thanks for posting this challenge. The first time I looked at your three pictures I had no idea what to do. The next day I looked again and thought about it. I guess that's a good example that we should never let any one of our days or moods govern our thoughts and attitude forever.

I couldn't agree more, Michele! Glad you came back to give it another look. I think when we make visual changes we often 'record' better what we think than we do in just thinking or looking. Artist's may be visual people, but we're also 'hands-on' learners!
